Eddie has almost 20 years experience working with youth, couples, and families. His love for people and his desire to strengthen others has been a key motivating factor in his educational and career decisions. Eddie has been married to his wife for 18 years and has two children in middle school. Eddie has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (1999), a Masters in Christian Ministry (2016), and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (2018) from Abilene Christian University. Before joining the Light of the Rockies team, Eddie has served as a youth pastor, associate pastor, outpatient therapist, college mental health counselor, and in-home family therapist. Eddie’s easy going nature, sense of humor, nonjudgmental approach, and practical style enable him to easily connect with teenagers and adults at all stages of life. Eddie has a great ability to take complex situations and approach them with practical and creative solutions. He has an optimistic, yet realistic view of life and relationships that his clients find refreshing and enjoyable.
Eddie became interested in Marriage and Family Therapy after being the lead pastor for the premarital and marriage programs at his church for 10 years. Eddie is a facilitator for Prepare/Enrich, a premarital and marriage enrichment assessment, and SYMBIS premarital programs. Eddie is well-versed in working with individuals, couples, and families. Eddie enjoys helping people to find healing on their spiritual journeys, recognizing the joys and pains of the church and difficulties in finding spiritual fulfillment. He believes no matter where you are on your spiritual journey it can have relevance in the therapeutic process.
