Kelley Johns, MA, LPCC
Kelley is passionate about helping people grow deep roots in their identity and understand their story, with the hope they can live a fuller and more purposeful life.
She approaches counseling using an integrative perspective with an emphasis in narrative therapy. Kelley believes in the power of story and has a heart for helping people grow confident in who they were created to be. She is trained to counsel from a Christian perspective, inviting Jesus to provide healing in the counseling process. However, she welcomes clients regardless of belief and is committed to their growth.
Kelley received a BFA from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her MA in counseling from Colorado Christian University. Prior to joining the team at Light of the Rockies, Kelley spent time counseling at Medical Center of the Rockies, a local church, and in a private practice setting. She has extensive experience with adolescents, young women, and the at-risk population.
Kelley is trained in EMDR, an approach that helps clients deal with past or present trauma. She utilizes this training along with her calm and gentle nature to help bring healing to clients.
